While we advance in our woodworking journey our needs are forever changing. When I started out I was simply cutting small pallet planks but as I’ve grown my needs have changed along with me.  I started needing to support larger stock that often stretched out past my workbench. In fact, it was becoming a necessity rather than a luxury as I was getting quite a lot of kickback as a result of poorly supported lumber on my outfeed.

I needed a way to support my tail stock but only on occasion when I was cutting large lengthy pieces of lumber. I needed something that was portable and compact, that I could pack away into a small corner when not needed. Something that didn’t take up much space but served a practical purpose. Hence the idea for the Universal Outfeed Support was born.

TIP: It would be advisable to install a bed onto the frame should you have very flexible tails tock as this will prevent it from binding up/catching on the outfeed support

 

 

 

NOTE! Plans are made available in METRIC and IMPERIAL but were designed and built in METRIC using METRIC standard sizes. The plans were then converted directly to IMPERIAL measurements.
