A Practical Space-Saving Solution for Hobbyist Woodworkers With Small Workshops!
Many people, like myself, practice their love for woodworking in small garages. Unlike myself, many of those people need to also use their garages as, well, garages. Since changing over to my WADKIN AGS 10 my small contractors-type Makita MLT100 has not seen a lot of action. Because I am not ready to get rid of it just yet I figured it was a golden opportunity to explore a design I had been sitting on for some time. A way to store my saw with a small footprint and out of the way.
That was what inspired me to design my original Space-Saving Table Saw Station. This design was based on my not needing constant access to my Makita table saw. It incorporated outfeed support and a removable worktop so that while the saw was being stored it could be utilized as workbench space.
The new Compact DIY Table Saw Station was designed for the woodworker who has to still use their garage or Small Shop as a Garage. The design was simplified, and the outfeed support and workbench top was removed. This was done to make the unit more mobile and easier to flip the saw into its working and stored position. The Compact DIY Table Saw Station design was meant for the DIY enthusiast who is going to need regular access to their saw.
IMPORTANT! – These plans were developed using the dimensions of my Makita MLT100. It is very likely that the dimensions would need to be adapted to suit a different make or model saw!

NOTE! Plans are made available in METRIC and IMPERIAL but were designed and built in METRIC using METRIC standard sizes. The plans were then converted directly to IMPERIAL measurements- Fractions
