Traditional drill press stands can consume a significant amount of floor space, making it challenging to move around your workspace. A swing-away drill press stand allows you to neatly tuck your drill press away when not in use, freeing up valuable room for other tools or projects. This flexibility means you can keep your workshop organized and efficient, enabling you to focus more on building projects. We opted to mount the stand to a wall, but it could be mounted to a workbench or portable unit to increase its versatility. The way I have installed the wall-mounted Swing Away Drill Press allows me to store my drill against the wall when not in use. The footprint of the Drill Press might be the same, but it is freeing up usable workspace, which is priceless in a small workshop.
