Description
A Practical DIY Woodworking Plan, including a detailed cutting list and step-by-step assembly instructions
Ever tried wrestling a 4×8 sheet of Plywood or MDF solo and thought to yourself, there must be an easier way! Meet the Bolt-on Sheet Loader — the little helper your solo shop’s been waiting for. It supports the Sheet after it’s loaded, and with its pivot and rollers, you can slide large panels into place without straining your back or calling in reinforcements. Our new Sheet Loader lets you load large plywood, MDF, and other sheet goods onto your table with complete control — even when you’re working alone. The frame is mounted alongside your workbench and supports one edge of the sheet while the pivot arm and low-friction rollers guide the workpiece into place. The idea behind having rollers on the base is to allow the Sheet to be slid onto the frame, should it be too heavy to simply pick up. The Sheet Loader performs a very singular role of assisting in loading large sheets of wood that need to be broken down into smaller usable sections. Since the tool is used infrequently, I didn’t want it to take up large amounts of space when not in use. The fact that it mounts to the back of my table also means it has a virtually non-existent footprint when not in use.
Some key features of the Bolt-on Sheet Loader:
- Single-person operation: load and position 4×8 and larger sheets safely without a helper.
- Smooth control: rollers prevent jerks and snags.
- Minimal setup: bolts to most standard tables in minutes and is an easy retrofit to most woodworking tables.
- Space-friendly: compact footprint and folds out of the way when not in use.
Whether you’re a hobbyist working in a one-person shop or a pro who needs faster, safer sheet handling, the Bolt-on Sheet Loader speeds up your workflow and reduces the risk of injury and material damage.

Space-Saving Design
In any workshop, maximizing space is essential. The Bolt-on Sheet Loader stacks away flush against your table, out of the way, but ready to be used at a moment’s notice.
